If you listen carefully, you can hear something. More than just the cries of seagulls and the lapping of waves on the shoreline in Poole Harbour. It’s a trickle of something precious and it’s about to arrive in Lilliput.
Lilliput, not the one made famous by Gulliver, but the district of Poole in Dorset with views of Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills is soon to be home to a new gin. A gin inspired by the Mediterranean, evocative of summer holidays, relaxation and the heady aroma of rosemary, thyme and other botanicals.
Lilliput Dorset Gin is the brainchild of Andy Woodfield, a passionate & entrepreneurial local businessman who aims to capture the true spirit and essence of Dorset in a bottle.
Having grown up locally, Andy explored and experienced the natural wildlife, the fresh sea air and lived amongst some of the most beautiful coastline on the Jurassic coast.
He says, “Dorset deserves another great gin, something that continues to evoke feelings of relaxation, warm summer days and being by the Dorset coast soaking up the fresh air and occasional sunshine.”
“We want to be ‘local first’ and do our bit for our home town and county since we have some truly great people with creativity and so much experience.”
We look forward to tasting the final version once it is unveiled!
